Our Company
Wallace and Wallace was founded by Don C. Wallace, the former telegrapher for President Woodrow Wilson. Don traveled with the President and telegraphed the details of the peace conference at the end of World War I back to an anxious nation. After leaving the Navy Don moved to Long Beach, California and established his rep. company. It was April 1926! The company thrived, representing electronic parts manufactured by Don's college pal, Edgar F. Johnson. As the company grew it relocated to downtown Los Angeles and Don's son Bill Wallace joined the company in 1947. Ron Camp was hired in the 60's and Don Werner in the 70's. After Don Wallace retired, the company continued to grow under the direction of Bill Wallace. With the beginning of the new century Bill has retired and Ron and Don are now partners in the company. Ron and Don have been involved in the growth of Land Mobile radio and have provided laboratory equipment for the development and prototyping of cellular telephones. We continue to evolve as technologies change, but remember our roots in early two-way radio and amateur radio. Don Wallace was one of the most famous amateur radio operators in the world. Ron Camp holds Extra Class Amateur Radio license K6EVR and Don Werner holds Extra Class license WA6KKR.
